Halloween!

We had to go to MA to finally close on our house on Friday so we decided to make a weekend of it and trick or treat in Rich's old neighborhood. We got to hang out with Nana, Grampy and Angus and got even more CANDY! We had a great time and here are some pictures!

Blue Sky Trick or Treat!

Christian decided he needed to be a green dinosaur this year and thankfully my very talented mother asked to make a costume for him. It came out AWESOME. Rich has asked to have an adult version of whatever christian is next year. So Nana and Papa came down the day before Blue Sky Trick or Treat night so that Christian could try on his costume. There were some minor adjustments but overall he was PSYCHED! The next night we met up with Daddy and some of our friends and got a TON of candy. At first we had to warm up by getting some jellybeans at the machine to shake off the nerves and then Christian got into character. There was no "trick or treat"...all he did was roar at everyone. Scared the crap out of our friend Charlie Brown.

Christian got a ton of loot and had made sure that we put his candy in a safe place where we can't take it.

Apple Picking with Tee Tee!

Yea, it's been a long time. I am getting my act together. There may be some backtracking so be forewarned...

We went apple picking at BlueJay Orchards in Bethel with Tee Tee Cyndi in early October. Tee Tee happened to grow up in Brookfield so she jumped at the chance to take Christian to the orchard that she grew up picking at. We had a blast. We got a freshly popped bag of Kettle Corn to keep us nourished along the way and hit the ground running with the apples. We started and ended our trip in the Mutsu apples area. These have been nicknamed the "Crack Apples". These things were bigger than Christian's face. I had one as a kid at a family members backyard orchard and have always loved them and remembered just how big they got. Rich and Cyndi were in disbelief. We got maybe 5 of them and filled a third of the bag... rich asked if we could get other kinds before we tapped out on the big ones...so we made our way around with frequent popcorn breaks and made it out of there with TONS Of apples. Lots of baking going on around here.

Check out some of our pics. There would have been more but our camera died..BOO!
