Christian's First Sox Game!!!!!

For Christmas last year, Uncle Tom gave the whole family Red Sox Tickets...even Christian! We drove up for the weekend and stayed with Nana and Papa and headed up to Somerville to meet with Uncle Tom . We got to take the T in to the game (Christian doesn't get to do it much but it's always a highlight of the day to ride the T). We took some pictures outside of Fenway and then went in to find our seats and some lunch and wait for the rest of the gang to show up.Crazy Uncle Jay and Tammy flew in from Florida that morning and Nana and Papa picked them up from the airport and went straight to the game!

This is when the day got a little dicey. We tried very hard to keep Christian happy but we missed out on a decent nap with all of the running around in the morning so by the time we got into Fenway, Christian was pretty much a mess. He picked at his lunch of chicken fingers and french fries but when Nana got there, he took a trip with her and Papa to get some food and came back with a pretzel. (which got dropped on the ground about halfway through),
We even saw Wally!

Christian started to get SUPER cranky but was eventually able to get comfy enough on Daddy's lap to actually fall asleep for a little while. By the 6th inning, he was awake and ANGRY and not even cotton candy cheered him up so we left the game. Neither Rich or I really remember watching the game and decided it will probably be a WHILE before Christian goes to any more games.

It's a GIRL!!!!!!

After weeks of insisting that he was having a sister, Christian discovered that he was right all along! I had my suspicions that he was right but didn't want to get too attached to the idea. Yesterday we went for our ultrasound and the tech asked if we wanted to know. She got a resounding yes. Then when she had made her way down from the baby's head with all of her measurements to where it REALLY mattered, she asked, Are you SURE you want to know? YES! "It's DEFINITELY a GIRL!" We are very VERY happy here in the Fournier household. A baby brother would have been fun for Christian once he got used to the idea but we are happy to get our one of each for now.

Dear Baby Girl, we can't wait to meet you! Love, Mommy, Daddy and Big Brother!

Muscoot Farm Playdate.

We met up with most of our usual playgroup friends at a nearby farm for lunch and then checking out the animals. Christian seemed super excited that another mom came with her three sons and for once, the boys FAR outnumbered the girls. All of the boys plus Emma were running around like nuts after lunch and then decided to pose on a picnic table for a photo op. We tried to get the whole gang in one shot but that proved to be difficult.

After lunch, the kids were super excited to see all of the spring babies that had been born within the last few days and we took lots of pictures of them. We even got to see one baby goat getting fed with a bottle. Christian thought that was pretty cool.

After seeing all of the animals, the kids that were still there all climbed on the tractor and took turns driving. This is always Christian's favorite part of the farm visit.

Easter in Massachusetts.

For Easter weekend, we spent Saturday and Sunday up in Massachusetts. On Saturday, we saw Nana and Grampy in Lexington and had a mini chocolate egg hunt in the house. Christian found all 20 eggs that Grampy hid plus he got a GINORMOUS basket from the Easter bunny which Mom and Dad had NO part in helping to polish off. (Actually, Mom really didn't help because chocolate didn't really appeal to her at all with being pregnant and all...so who did eat it all????)

On Sunday morning, Christian very patiently waited until a respectable hour to finally wake Daddy up to go look for eggs in the backyard and his basket. The bunny was very sneaky and left one basket from Nana and Papa behind a chair and ANOTHER basket in the coat closet from Mom and Dad plus about 20 big eggs in the back yard. And he left them in some tricky places too. What isn't pictured here is the awesome T-Rex puppet that has been named Dino (not pronounced like Dino from the Flintstones..pronounced like the first two syllables in Dinosaur). Mom and Dad were slightly concerned that Dino would become the new favorite and trump GoGo Monkey but it truly looks like GoGo is irreplaceable .

And he is off...

Tricky bunny...hiding a yellow egg in a yellow bush.
Smiling with his haul.
This is a picture that Christian took him self of his booty from the hunt.
The baskets, minus Dino.

Easter Egg Hunt Playdate.

So I have been slacking so I have some catching up to do.....

Every Thursday or so, Christian has a playgroup with some friends in New York. For our playdate right before Easter, we decided to have an egg hunt for the kids. Up until now, Christian has never done an outdoor hunt. Back in MA, we would just have eggs hidden around our house in the morning. When it came time to look for eggs in Emma and Landon's yard, it took him a couple minutes but he got the hang of it. At first he would follow the other kids around and look where they had already gotten all of the eggs and come up empty. Then he figured out to try some new places and came home with a  pretty decent amount of booty!

The hunt....
Christian and Taryn playing with bubbles.I don't THINK he poked her in the eye, but we never know with these two.

After the hunt and the massive sugar rush kicked in, the kids had a dance party. Christian is busting out the funky chicken or something in the background there. This is the ONLY place where Christian will dance.
